Germany has quarantined around 1,000 cases of coronavirus in Heinsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia Heinsberg, as the number of confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in Europe's biggest economy shot up above 50.
In the past week, 20 countries have confirmed their first coronavirus cases. The countries are Lebanon, Oman, Israel, Afghanistan, Greece, Denmark, Austria, Estonia, Romania, Pakistan, Norway, Spain, Brazil, Switzerland and others.
The outbreaks are centered largely around Italy and Iran; Italy now has 400 cases and 12 deaths. Several countries have begun closing borders and implementing travel bans to contain the spread of the virus.
