A 64-year-old dies in Mumbai

The city of Mumbai has reported its first death and India has reported its third death due to novel coronavirus. A 64-year-old patient with COVID-19 infection passed away in Mumbai. The patient was admitted to Kasturba hospital in Mumbai.

Earlier, two Covid-19 related deaths (one each in Delhi and Karnataka) were reported. Maharashtra has surpassed Kerala as the former has reported 39 COVID-19 cases.

A total of 125 patients have tested positive for coronavirus in the country, as per the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The government of Maharashtra government has adopted several measures to contain the virus spread. Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code had been imposed in Nagpur and Nashik, and starting from today, around 40,000 shops will remain closed in Nagpur for the next three day.
