Coronavirus cases in India rise to 415

Seven people have succumbed to the disease so far

The total number of novel coronavirus cases in India rose to 415 today after 30 fresh cases were reported, according to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

So far, said 18,383 samples have been tested

Maharashtra is leading with 89 confirmed cases, followed by Kerala at 67. So far, seven people have succumbed to COVID-19- from Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka,  Bihar, Gujarat and Punjab.

The Government has announced total lock down in 75 cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru till 31 March. Public transport like Trains, metros and inter-state buses have been shut from today, and only essential services like milk, vegetables, medicines, grocery and ATMs will be available during the shutdown.
