Spain’s COVID-19 death toll rises again
However, the rate of new infections is stabilising now
Despite a national lockdown imposed on March 14, which the parliament has extended until April 11,
Spain’s death toll due to COVID-19 is on the rise once again, according to the health ministry.
There have now been a total of 64,059 cases of Covid-19 in Spain and in 24 hours, 769 people died, a daily record, taking the total to 4,858.

The country’s emergency services has been “overwhelmed” with the large number of COVID-19 patients. Spain has recently announced that it is spending 509 million euros to buy masks and gloves for healthcare workers from Chinese firms.
