1mg, India’s leading integrated digital healthcare platform, has begun the registration for COVID-19 testing on its platform to help enable the government by connecting suspected cases to the ICMR & Government approved labs. As of now, they have partnered with SRL Diagnostics, Metropolis Healthcare (Mumbai), Suburban Diagnostics, City X-Ray & Scan Clinic, TRUTEST Laboratories with plans of collaborating with more labs. At the moment, the diagnostics division of 1mg is catering to 348 pincodes in Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Pune for COVID-19 testing and will soon be expanding its operations to PAN India level.

Ankur Gigras, VP of E-commerce, 1mg, says “I believe that private, technology driven healthcare entities have a much bigger role to play when it comes to combating coronavirus. Whether it is raising awareness, making sure that people’s medical needs are met during lockdown or connecting the government to the suspected cases, with our capacity to reach the masses, I think what we are doing can be really instrumental in this fight against COVID-19.”

In order to curb the panic and fear induced due to COVID-19, 1mg is taking extra care to understand the concerns of the registrants; explaining the booking process in detail and assessing their risk. Our partner labs have trained all the phlebotomists conducting the sample collection for COVID-19 as per the ICMR and government regulations.

Keeping up with the ICMR’s guidelines regarding COVID-19 testing, registrants are required to provide a government identification, doctor’s prescription, details of travel history to COVID-19 hit areas or interaction with COVID-19 patients. The test is priced at Rs 4,500.
