Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre, Mumbai, a hospital established in 1978 and run by a public charitable trust, has appointed a new Board of Trustees.

The new board, led by founders Kishor Mehta and Charu Mehta as Permanent Trustees for Life, replaces the previous board removed by the Assistant Charity Commissioner in December 2023 and upheld by the Supreme Court.

The new board prioritizes high-quality healthcare, ethical practices, and improved medical facilities. They aim to serve communities through charitable projects and enhance public health.

The board comprises a diverse group of individuals with extensive experience. Permanent Trustees Rajiv Mehta, Rajesh Mehta, and Prashant Mehta join founders Kishor and Charu Mehta. Additional trustees include Sanjay Shroff, Kiran Shah, Tatyaba Palve, Rakesh Khanna, Mohit Mathur, and Saurav Sharma.

Rajiv Mehta, Permanent Trustee, pledged to invest in cutting-edge technologies and advancements. “We will prioritize patient well-being and satisfaction,” he said. The hospital plans to hold free health check-up camps to increase healthcare access.

Prashant Mehta, Permanent Trustee, stressed on a dedication to innovation. “We are committed to creating a system that prioritizes patient well-being,” he said. The board aims to incorporate international expertise and robotic technology.

Rajesh Mehta, Permanent Trustee, described the importance of affordable healthcare with advanced technology. The focus will be on utilizing global best practices to ensure quick recovery.
