ENTOD Pharmaceuticals, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast, has gifted an ambulance to the community of Machhal village in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), addressing their enduring medical needs. Located just 4-km from the Line of Control (LOC), Machhal village has faced significant healthcare obstacles due to its remote location. The absence of adequate medical facilities has forced residents to travel over 130 km to Kupwara and Srinagar for emergency care, navigating treacherous terrain.
The donated ambulance was symbolically handed over to the Sarpanch of Machhal village at the Sahi Memorial Hospital, in the presence of the armed forces. ENTOD Pharmaceuticals‘ Chairman, Kishore Masurkar, emphasized the importance of corporate social responsibility, stating, “By donating this ambulance, we are providing medical aid and nurturing a lifeline for those in need, aligning with our core values of community welfare and societal responsibility.”
CEO Nikkhil K Masurkar highlighted the initiative’s transformative impact, saying, “Access to timely healthcare is a fundamental right. This ambulance will bridge the gap and ensure quality healthcare access for every individual, regardless of location.”
The ambulance will facilitate rapid transfers to city hospitals during medical emergencies, significantly enhancing healthcare access for Machhal village residents.
