Colgate, Apollo Dental Clinics collaborate to raise gum care awareness
Free oral screening and toothpaste samples on offer as part of the gum care awareness campaign
Apollo Dental Clinics has partnered with Colgate to raise awareness about gum care. Apollo Dental Clinics will provide complimentary oral screenings by dentists to patients visiting the clinic, and the patients will also be given a sample of Colgate Gum Expert toothpaste.
As part of the awareness drive, 50+ Apollo Dental Clinics in Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad will provide the complimentary oral screenings, followed by clinics in Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, and Pune.
In a post-pandemic era, dentists across the country have witnessed a rise in the number of patients visiting them. As per industry statistics, 40.7 percent of patients visiting dentists had sensitivity issues, but also noticed having problems such as decay and bleeding gums too. Dentists also observed that those aged below 16 and in the 17–34 age groups needed orthodontic care (94.8 percent and 57.8 percent, respectively). Restorative care was the most prevalent need in the 17–34 (77.7 percent) and 35–44 (76.1 percent) age groups, and those in the 45–64 age group needed periodontal, prosthetic and surgical care (95.8, 90.9 and 13.3 percent, respectively).
