Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai opened RareCare Clinic, a dedicated center to provide comprehensive care to rare cancer patients. Rare cancers challenge is real. These cancers make up about 20 percent of all cancer cases, with over 200 types identified. Due to limited data, patients often feel isolated.
The new rare cancers clinic has a multidisciplinary team offering advanced treatments and compassionate support to patients. The team includes oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, and genetic counselors. Healthcare Radius interviewed Dr Jyoti Bajpai, Lead – Medical and Precision Oncology, Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai, who will be in-charge of this project.
